erikalui, for this type of question, it is common that a number that comes after a close parenthesis is understood as ^ (raised to...)

Otherwise, if it is meant to be multiplied, the user will ask

This problem is with most of the math questions as many times the questions do not have an addition sign or multiplication sign.

May be it's better not to attempt such questions.
