Solve using substitution. y = -3x + 9 y = -2x + 3 (, )
Weegy: -2x+3y=6 -3x+y=5 From 2nd equation y = 3x + 5 Using this in 1st equation -2x + 3(3x + 5) = 6 -2x + 9x + 15 =6 7x = -9 x = -9/7 y = -27/7 + 5 = 8/7 (More)

1 Answer/Comment
y = -3x + 9
y = -2x + 3
substitute y in the first equation the result is:
-2x + 3 = -3x + 9
-2x + 3x = 9 - 3
x = 6
y = -3(6) + 9 = -18 + 9 = -9
the solution for the system y = -3x + 9 y = -2x + 3 is (6, -9)
