All agencies, staff working with children and young people, [ parents/carers and members of the public have a role to play to ensure that children and young people are kept safe in our community.The adoption of a Safeguarding Policy brings with it the requirement to regulate many of our services including specific recruitment and selection, training, and vetting procedures. The policy highlights the need for ongoing training in Safeguarding (for Children and Young People) at all levels of the organisation so as to ensure that the various aspects of the policy are implemented and adhered to
in a consistent and up to date manner.
1.7 The policy also promotes the rights of children and young people; the need to ensure that inappropriate behaviour does not take place; and outlines the preferred means by which any allegations or suspicions are reported and acted upon within Woking Borough Council´s structures. ]
