x^2 + 3x - 10 = 0;

x^2 + 3x - 10 = (x + 5)(x - 2)

(x + 5) = 0; x = -5

(x - 2) = 0; x = 2

solution set {-5, 2}

x^2 + 3x - 10 = (x + 5)(x - 2)

(x + 5) = 0; x = -5

(x - 2) = 0; x = 2

solution set {-5, 2}
