Weegy: The Scientific Revolution fit into the time period between about 1645 and 1700 and the Enlightenment fits into the time from the end of the Scientific Revolution until the Deluge following the end of the French Revolution in 1789. [ Now, these periods are more or less absolute, but not cast in stone. The Scientific Revolution overlapped into the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment didn't end in 1789 in all places, but it did in Western Europe. For instance, the invention of the steam engine came in 1720 (actually a pump) some 40 years after John Locke had posited his enlightenment theories about mans' natural rights, a distinct Enlightenment point of view in a period following the decline of monarchies. I hope this helps. Email me for more if you need it. ]
