Why did the South secede from the Union?
The South seceded from the Union for not only slavery, but also for states rights. The South felt that they had the right to decided how they could run their own state rather then have the North tell them what they have to do. [ Why did the North win? They had more resources and men. Eventually, the South couldn't get the ammunition, food, and reinforcements they needed. ]
