The answer was correct, it just needed the extra step added. janezeshun, your answer should be negative. A negative divided by a positive equals a negative.

Hi debnjerry. You are right . My meaning is x=-54/7 is approximately equal to -7.714. It is not exact to -7.714. We should not use" =" directly . I hope you can understand

janezeshun, the original answer was not meant to be an "exact" answer. It was only an approximation to -54/7, which is the value of x.
The original answer did not indicate that -54/7 = -7.714.

andrew . Maybe you are right. The original answer indicated that -x= -54/7; x= -7.714 on my computer.Maybe our understanding are diffrent. I think x= -7.714 is also wrong. Math question should be rigorous .
