(x^3 - x - 4) - (x^2 + x - 4)

= (x^3 - x - 4) + (-x^2 - x + 4)

= x^3 - x^2 - 2x

= (x^3 - x - 4) + (-x^2 - x + 4)

= x^3 - x^2 - 2x

Subtract the following trinomials: (6x2 + x + 4) - (x2 - x + 9). User: (6x2 + x + 4) - (x2 - x + 9) **Weegy:** the answer is D. (3x-4)(2x+5)
well, when u solve this kind of problems, u can check the answer by multiplying the FACTORS.
here, (3x-4)(2x+5)=6x2 + 7x - 20
however, while solving it, the steps r as follows:-
1. first u multiply 6 with 20. [ This gives 120
2.now, u try to find two numbers, which are factors of 120, and give the difference of 7.
here, they r 15 n 8.
3. then u do it as,
6x2 + 15x-8x - 20
=3x(2x+5)-4(2x+5)
=(3x-4)92x+5) ] (More)

Which trinomial is the product of the binomials (2x – y)(x + 3y)? **Weegy:** FOIL (First Outside Inside Last)
= 2x(2x) + 2x(-3y) + (-3y)(2x) + (-3y)(-3y)
= 4x^2 + (-6xy) + (-6xy) + (9y^2)
= 4x^2 - 12xy + 9y^2
