The base of a triangle is 6 cm greater than the height. The area is 20 cm^2. Find the height and the length of the base.
Weegy: b = h + 8. Area = .5*h*b = .5*h*(h + 8) .5*h*(h+8) = 24. h^2 + 8h = 48. h^2 + 8h - 48 = 0. (h+12)(h-4) = 0. h = -12. h = 4. height of "-12" doesn't make any sense. Trash this solution. Use h = 4. The base is 8 bigger, that's 12. (More)

Let h be the height of the triangle, its base is (h + 6).
Area = 1/2*(h + 6)*h = 20
h(h + 6) = 40
h^2 + 6h - 40 = 0
(h + 10)(h - 4) = 0
h = -10 or h = 4.
The height of the triangle is 4cm and the base is 10cm.

When we multiply two exponential expressions with the same base, we can add the exponents:

(6r)^6 × (6r)^5 = 6^6 × r^6 × 6^5 × r^5
6^6 × r^6 × 6^5 × r^5 = 6^(6+5) × r^(6+5) = 6^11 × r^11

Therefore, (6r)^6 × (6r)^5 simplifies to 6^11 × r^11.

To find the greatest common factor (GCF) of 6x and 21X^3, we need to factor each term into its prime factors and then identify the common factors.

6x can be factored as 2 × 3 × x
21x^3 can be factored as 3 × 7 × x × x × x

The common factors are 3 and x, since both terms have at least one factor of 3 and one factor of x.

Therefore, the greatest common factor of 6x and 21X^3 is 3x.
