Question and answer
explain the contrast between the behavior of the wounded man and unwounded man.
The wounded man is so motivated to escape that he doesn't care to look back. [ He's already wounded, so his motivation to leave the vicinity of the shooting is understandable. The other man is evidently concerned about the source of the bullets, for some reason. Maybe to gauge whether the shooter is pursuing? ]
