The answer for x^2-100 is (x-10)(x+10 .
x^2-100
=x^2-10^2
=x^2-10x+10x-10^2
=(x-10)(x+10).

The factor of x^2+x-12 is (x+4)(x-3).
x^2+x-12
=x^2+4x-3x-12
=(x+4)(x-3).

2x^2+6x+4
