Question and answer
how are your stress management strategies holding up fot you?Is the stress you are experencing what you expected it to be? what did you not expext? how are you handling those stressors? what stree management techniques have you found to be particularly useful for yourself
There are several different ways to manage stress, and they generally fall into two categories: emotion-focused coping and solution-focused coping. [ Basically, solution-focused coping zeros in on eliminating the things in life that cause stress, and emotion-focused coping centers around finding ways to feel better about those stressors that can't be eliminated. Each of these strategies brings other benefits as well. For example, solution-focused coping strategies can help us to feel less stressed by eliminating stressors, and they can also help us to feel better about our remaining
stressors because we're feeling less overwhelmed. Emotion-focused coping strategies can help us to feel less stressed about what we face, and when we're feeling less stressed, we may be more level-headed when we deal with our remaining stressors, and come up with effective strategies for managing them. ]

how do weekly readings in a course be apporach
Weegy: think this is a good amount as well. Since first posting, I've gone over my syllabi and pared down. One was OK with minor changes, the other needed some cutting. [ I realized that I can, duh, actually include some of the reading content in my lecture as opposed to assigning it. Some of the YouTube vids have moved from reading on their own to being shown in class. I need to fill the time, with 2.5 hrs per class. I've also learned that I need to structure my time differently for class sizes. This one class has 16 students (big for my program) and I need to give them time to talk. I've been in the situation of feeling like I'm rushing students' responses, rather than enjoying a discussion, because I thought I 'had' to cover a certain amount of material. On the other hand, my other class has <5 and I've got to fill that time. I get very good evals, but behind the scenes, it has taken me awhile to feel I am in control of different size classes, letting students talk, and to realize that I don't need to teach them everything I know. If they wanna know more, they can do some research and write a paper on it. I need to remember that. ] (More)

how do you handle stressors
Weegy: Stress management starts with identifying the sources of stress in your life. This isn’t as easy as it sounds. [ Your true sources of stress aren’t always obvious, and it’s all too easy to overlook your own stress-inducing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Sure, you may know that you’re constantly worried about work deadlines. But maybe it’s your procrastination, rather than the actual job demands, that leads to deadline stress. To identify your true sources of stress, look closely at your habits, attitude, and excuses: Do you explain away stress as temporary (“I just have a million things going on right now”) even though you can’t remember the last time you took a breather? Do you define stress as an integral part of your work or home life (“Things are always crazy around here”) or as a part of your personality (“I have a lot of nervous energy, that’s all”). Do you blame your stress on other people or outside events, or view it as entirely normal and unexceptional? Until you accept responsibility for the role you play in creating or maintaining it, your stress level will remain outside your control. Start a stress journal A stress journal can help you identify the regular stressors in your life and the way you deal with them. Each time you feel stressed, keep track of it in your journal. As you keep a daily log, you will begin to see patterns and common themes. Write down: What caused your stress (make a guess if you’re unsure). How you felt, both physically and emotionally. How you acted in response. What you did to make yourself feel better. Look at how you currently cope with stress Think about the ways you currently manage and cope with stress in your life. Your stress journal can help you identify them. ] (More)

which strategies would be most effective to use when reading over a chapter
Weegy: How to Use Graphic Organizers to Increase Reading Comprehension. Graphic organizers are an effective ... look over ... How to Use Graphic Organizers as a Reading/Writing Strategy [ hension.html ] User: how would you apply grahic organizers to vocabulary strategies when reading course material Weegy: The analogy graphic organizer is extremely helpful in aiding students with a visual representation of an analogy. [ It helps students organize the similarities and differences into more manageable categories and ultimately draw conclusions on the unfamiliar topic. At the top, the unfamiliar concept is listed on one side, and the familiar concept is listed on the other. Along columns in the middle, students write the similarities between the unfamiliar and familiar concept along one side, and the differences along the other. At the bottom, students can draw conclusions on the analogy they have just made. In terms of how I might employ the analogy graphic organizer, it seems really helpful in an English classroom to compare literary themes to real life experiences, or in contrastive grammar analysis in a German classroom. ] (More)
