1/4 (2x – 12) = 2/3 (3x + 9);

1/2x - 3 = 2x + 6;

1/2x - 2x = 6 + 3;

-3/2x = 9;

x = 9 ÷ (-3/2);

x = 9 * (-2/3);

x = -18/3;

x = -6
