(n+3)^2 = 25

(n+3) (n+3) = 25

n^2 + 3n + 3n + 9 = 25

n^2 + 6n - 16 = 0

(n - 2) (n + 8) = 0

n - 2 = 0; n = 2;
n + 8 = 0; n = -8;

n = {-8, 2}
