identify the y-intercept y=4x -11/14

y=-11/14
Added 5/17/2011 3:45:54 PM
In the form y = mx + b, m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. So in the equation y = 4x - 11/14, the y-intercept is (0, -11/14).

Another way to get the y-intercept is to substitute x with 0.
y = 4x - 11/14;
y = 4(0) - 11/14;
y = -11/14
