Question and answer
Do you think there is a difference between forgiving and forgetting? Why or why not?
Yes there is a difference. You can forgive somebody for hurting you while not forgetting the lessons it has taught you. For example, say you lent your friend a lot of money and she never paid you back. [ You may feel hurt and betrayed but eventually forgive her and continue the friendship. However, if she were to come to you again and ask for a loan, the 'not forgetting' will likely cause you to say no. ]
