x = [-b ± v(b² - 4ac)] / 2a;

x = -3 ± v(3^2 - 4(6)(-18))]/2(6);

x = -3 ± v(9 + 432)]/12;

x = -3 ± v(441)/12;

x = (-3 ± 21)/12;

x = (-3 + 21)/12 or x = (-3 - 21)/12;

x = 18/12 or x = -24/12;

x = 3/2 or x = -2
