Question and answer
Once Plato and his companions believe they have established the ideal city, they consider where justice is in the city and how justice comes to be established. They conclude that justice happens when each person does the job they are best suited for. This will be achieved if and only if the philosophers become kings. What do you think of this proposal? Do Socrates' reasons satisfy you? Do you think that Socrates and his companions have succeeded in finding the nature of justice? Why or why not?
