Weegy: expository, persuasive, narrative, and descriptive...persuasive persuades, narritive tells story in first person, descriptive gives visual discription and expository is for non fiction, normally journalist would use this type of writing to inform.

The point to point method in comparing and contrast writing examines one aspect of comparison in each paragraph and usually alternates back and forth between the two objects, texts, or ideas being compared. This method allows you to emphasize points of similarity and of difference as you proceed.

Do transitions affect the main point in a paragraph?
Weegy: Transitions just make things flow well in a paragraph. User: How can transitions make things flow well in a paragraph? Weegy: Paragraph transitions suggest a particular relationship between one idea and the next. Within a paragraph, transitions provide coherence: a sense that the paragraph contains one main argument or idea. [ Between paragraphs, paragraph transitions help with the flow of writing from beginning to end, as well as the sense of the coherence of the whole essay. In summary, use a variety of good transition words within your paragraphs to create coherent paragraphs. Use good paragraph transition words in essays to help your ideas flow throughout the essay, as well. In these ways, transition words serve as a sort of writing glue. Yet, don't use the same transition repeatedly, unless you are doing so for a specific effect. ] (More)

Transitions connect ideas, create continuity, and ensure a logical flow in a paragraph. They enhance clarity, coherence, and reader engagement by guiding them smoothly through the text.
