User: What is the difference between cells , tissues and organs?

Weegy: Cell is the basic unit of life.It is made up of a nucleus,mitochondria,ER,etc..these are termed as organelle. The organelle are scattered in a liquid called as cytoplasm. The cytoplasm is bound by a cell membrane.
The cells carry out various functions [ such as respiration, photosynthesis(in plants),etc.Cells assume various structures according to their functions.Eg of cells: RBC,WBC,Nerve cell, etc
When cells similar in structure and function come together they form tissue.Eg Blood.
Tissues having similar function and strucutre come together to form a specialised body called as organs.Organs have a highly specialised function.Eg heart pumps blood, lungs help in breathing.
Organs with similar and allied functions form an organ system.Eg In Digestive system various organs such as Food pipe, stomach, liver, pancreas, intestine, etc are concerned with the digestion of food.Similarly the repiratory system is concerned with respiration
