Some polymers you find in your home:
polystyrene cups or packing peanuts. acrylics - spun acrylics can be found in comforters. Acrylics may also be used in paint. Vinyl, a lot of homes have vinyl siding and some pipes are vinyl.

As polymers are plastics then there are numerous examples of polymers in and around the home. Disposable cutlery, plastic shopping bags, plastic drinking glasses are some examples

Metals in general have high electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, luster and density, and the ability to be deformed under stress without cleaving. Optically speaking, metals are opaque, shiny and lustrous.
