Actually, Buyer's Representation Agreements are fairly new legal contracts in real estate and are a direct result of the fact that all real estate agents used to, by default, work for the seller because the money to pay both agents' commissions came from the seller's funds. This means that prior to the addition of the Buyer's Rep Agreement a buyer might spend a month looking at houses and come to trust the agent and ASSUME that the agent was working in their best interest when they were not. In fact, the agent was legally obligated to disclose to the seller any of the buyer's personal information he/she had learned that might benefit the seller. As you can see, buyers had very little, if any, protection in a real estate transaction.

Now buyers have the option of signing a Buyer's Representation Agreement which transfers the agent's fiduciary duty (or obligation) to the buyer. At that point the listing broker represents the seller and the buyer's agent represents the buyer, even though both agents are still typically paid by the seller.

With all of this in mind, the principal that a real estate broker works for (assuming there is no Buyer's Rep Agreement) is (B) the seller.

An example of a topic sentence would be, "People can avoid burglaries by taking certain precautions." A topic sentence always has a topic (in this example that would be "avoid burglaries") and a controlling idea (in this example, that would be "by taking certain precautions").

What type of insurance are you referring to? If you're talking about health insurance, not having it can mean you wipe out your life savings with one hospital stay. If you're talking about auto insurance, you can leave your personal finances very vulnerable if you cause an accident and are uninsured (or underinsured).
