Question and answer
Do you feel the results of an IQ test are accurate? Explain
Are standard IQ tests really accurate? People often wonder why some people who are bright in class don't do so well in IQ tests. On the other hand, those who don't do well in class may excel in IQ tests. [ This doesn't mean that IQ tests aren't accurate. It only means that some people are smarter when it comes to logic and reasoning, while others have better memory skills. Because school
examinations cover such a wide array of topics, it is difficult to judge the overall intelligence of a person. Students may do well for one or two subjects that they are exceptionally good at, while scoring lower marks for subjects that they are not so interested in. There are people with low IQ test scores that do very well for their exams and the reason behind this may be just that they have studied harder than others. This has nothing to do with logic and reasoning skills; it is just a matter of determination and hard work. Therefore, the definition of intelligence is a continuous debate. Article Source: ]

have you ever take a free PhD certified IQ test to get your score and find out how you rank? Did you feel the results were accurate?
Weegy: Yeah, I've tried one and I did saw my score and what's my rank. I felt the intelligence test was not necessarily accurate. They were biased in that they favored certain types of intelligence that many people are not trained well for. [ [ For example, some children are taught from birth how to do math well, and an intelligence test that biased for these sorts of things may allow them to score higher. But this does not mean that they are necessarily as skilled as someone else who has skill in a different area. I think these things are not that good for comparing different people because of all these differences is background. ] ] (More)

Did you feel the results were accurate when u toke a IQ test?
Weegy: A variety of IQ tests are available for the visually impaired. Many tests are adaptations of instruments that are in use for the sighted while others are designed specifically for the visually impaired. [ [ There are tests that examine verbal IQ or performance IQ or both. Many of these tests are regarded as accurate predictors of success in the workplace and indicators of academic abilities. ] There are a number of sociological problems that are thrown up by IQ testing. The main problem being with language - if English is not your first language or you're just no good at it, tests in English will yield a lower score. IQ tests also only test certain thinking processes associated with intelligence, and individuals have different mental strengths and weaknesses. A low score on an IQ test does not specifically mean you are "less intelligent". For instance, a person who is highly intelligent in a non-academic field, for instance interpersonal communications or automotive maintenance, may score poorly on an IQ test because the test is based solely on performance in traditional academic subjects. Scores on an IQ test are comparative by nature; they do not test a subject's 'true intelligence', merely their performance on the given tasks in comparison to those of the same age group. Test scores can also be affected by simple things such as a lack of sleep, or having not eaten enough that morning. IQ tests also fail to assess creativity levels ] (More)

Some IQ test focus on various aspects from personality, to complex thinking, and various other means to extract or gage the level of intellect. The test developed by professionals are rarely the ones people take all over the internet. These test can be made by professionals and amateurs alike. The only way to truly trust an IQ test is to have one administered to you via an organization. Young people can have testing done by their schools. The results of online test are likely not very accurate.
