If a pencil costs 50 cents and a ruler costs 65 cents, then 6 pencils would cost $3.00 and 3 rulers would cost $1.95, for a grand total of $4.95.

if 1/4 of a number is 35. 105 is 3/4 of the same number.
If the number is x
1/4x = 35
x = 35*4
x = 140
3/4*140 = 420/4 = 105

then from $21 subtract the $6 (children)= $15
Then divide $15 by 10(adults)= $1.50 per adult
