He sounds confident on what he is saying.
He sounds arrogant on what he is saying.

She has a quiet personality.
She has an introvert personality.

James has pure thought about it.
James has naive thoughts about it.


The 1st sentences have more positivity compared to the 2nd sentences. The type of words that you will use will depend on the nature of your sentence. If you want to let your audience to appreciate the one you are describing, use the more positive synonym of the word.
