A. We begged Dad to let us have a dog. I think this one has incorrect capitalization too for "Dad".

No James, as what vchutkan said these names should only be capitalized when they're being used as a name and not like a pronoun. In this case, Dad is capitalized because it's being used as a name. A. We begged Dad to let us have a dog has a correct capitalization.
