Weegy: These days, employers are impressed by resumes that are geared specifically toward the job for which you are applying. Make your resume specific, listing experience and skills that would be useful in the job you want. [ Also, it's best these days to keep the resume to one page and use action verbs. Cover letter: Keep it formal, but friendly. Give a brief background about yourself, highlighting any skills/experience you have that relates to the job you want. Make sure your grammar/punctuation/spelling are correct. A cover letter lets an employer know that you are serious and professional, and if it's well done, it can also tell them that you have skills in writing. So far, I have been very successful, job-wise, because of my resume. I've tried to follow these guidelines as taught to me by teachers and other professionals, and it's really helped.
