Question and answer
Explain two ways you could obtain support and advice about working in partnership and resolving conflicts
Conflict resolution is no easy task in a relationship- -and every couple handles it differently. However, the common thread among couples that successfully address conflicts is a desire to work through problems together. [ Their commitment to the partnership they've created either through marriage or an agreement to be monogamous enables them to resolve conflicts as they arise. Discuss
underlying problems first. It's not enough for a couple to agree to be happy together. If there is hidden anger or resentments, they will only resurface in time. Listen to one another's concerns, and agree to work through the problems calmly and as a team. This simple agreement to work together will strengthen your bond and set the tone for a successful partnership going forward. 2 Forget about winning the argument. When a conflict arises, and if you are each committed to resolving the conflict by partnering, your goal is not to make the other person feel badly or to be "right," but rather to understand each other and to be understood. Maintain respect for each other at all times. Read more: How to Resolve Conflict by Partnering | eHow.com ]
