this is worth mentioning again...we recalculate points for active users periodically throughout the day. we recalculate points for all users once at the end of the day. this can lead to the situation on the first day of the month where a user (who has not been active) seems to start out with 100's of points. at the end of the day, though, those monthly points will be reset to 0. we understand how this can lead to some confusion, so we're working on a solution.

we've decided to reduce the incentive and opportunity to game the system. starting this month, we've made these changes: a maximum of 100 points can be earned from comments and winners will receive $30, $20, and $10. we will continue to monitor all comments and referrals to ensure that everyone is playing fair. thanks for your understanding and support.
