FIrst, how old are you? Are you a minor or an adult? If you are a minor, HOW is your family being mean to you? Are they physically abusive or verbally abusive? or do they just not let you do what you want? If they don't allow you to do certain things, there is probably a good reason, ask them. If they are physcially abusive, you need to seek help.
If you are an adult and feel they are mean, you are free to cut them out of your life. I would suggest talking with them and trying to settle differences, but if that doesn't work, you are free to cut ties. Best of luck.
