Do human beings have any obligations to animals in terms of their treatment?
Weegy: I start with a basic conviction: that the abuse and purposeful harm done toanimals at the hands of human beings is morally wrong not because of anyintrinsic sense of rights that an animal possesses or because even the act of causing pain or killing [ is somehow intrinsically ethically wrong, but because of the effects that these practices have on the nature of our ethical sensibilities, of our own status as ethical agents.
