Question and answer
Q: 5.3 Explain why a worker’s personal views should not influence an individual’s choices
A: If residents have the ability to make good choices, then they should be allowed to do so within reason. [ For example, if a service worker thinks a resident would be better off watching television with other residents, and they aren't interested in the programming, that's a choice they should be allowed to make. If a service worker thinks it would be good for a resident to go outdoors to get
some fresh air, and the resident doesn't want to, then their choice should be respected. Not everyone likes to watch TV and spend time outdoors. ]
