Name two areas where most professionals in the field of psychology work
Weegy: Two areas where most professionals in the field of psychology work are: 1. Clinical psychologists - make up the single largest specialty area in psychology. Clinicians are psychologists who assess, diagnose and treat mental illnesses. [ They frequently work in mental health centers, private or group practices or hospitals. 2. Counseling psychologists - make up another large specialty area in psychology. These professionals perform many of the same tasks that clinical psychologists do, but counseling psychologists tend to work with clients suffering from less severe forms of mental illness. ] (More)

how does science of phycology differ from other scientific fields?
Weegy: That kind of depends on what you mean by other sciences. If you mean the natural sciences, psychology is similar to those in that the same methods are used. [ Psychologists, especially in research, will use the scientific method as well as empirical studies to do their work. But psychology differs from the natural sciences because we (I'm a psychology student) also focus on mental life as well as studying human behavior. This is something that sets us apart from the natural sciences. Same for biology... In comparison to the social sciences, the two are similar in that they focus on a lot of the same things. However, social sciences will focus more on the group and group dynamics rather than the individual. Sociology, social work, and politics all have something to say about the group or groups. Psychology will consider the group as well, but focuses more on the individual. We also ask different questions as well in regards to these topics. In addition, the social sciences tend to rely on surveys and this kind of data collection, whereas psychology will actually use experiments and studies to look for findings. Hope that helps :) ] (More)

Explain the development of social behavior.
Weegy: From the moment of birth, humans are social creatures. Indeed, without social interactions (the support of caregivers), no infant would survive. Even when we become capable of living independently, very few people seek to live in isolation. [ (The Unabomber, living in a cabin in the hills and mailing bombs to people he'd never met, was unusual- and his behavior reflected this.) Instead, we generally welcome social interactions, and no study of behavior would be complete without considering these interactions. The study of social behavior is often referred to as "social psychology", but the reality is that studying social interactions is not solely the domain of psychologists- sociologists and anthropologists, among others, also study social interactions in various ways. What distinguishes social psychology from these other disciplines is the emphasis on the individual as the focus of study- that is, social psychologists tend to focus on how individuals act in social situations, and how they are influenced by social processes Read more: ] (More)

What is the development of social behavior?
Weegy: Children "map" or read their parents daily as they kids grow up. If mom is short tempered, curses and then is two faced to friends, the child will grow up "thinking" this is the right thing to do. [ This is why, the Kingdom of Christ in Heaven EXPECTS parents to lead their children into the eternal Kingdom and thus it is written, "Seek YE FIRST the Kingdom." This spiritual mindset "holds" parents accountable to the Lord God when they have to turn to raise their children. Because children map what they see in their parents, the obvious is also true. If the parents are on their way to hell, their "seed" or children will follow them. This is clearly visible in the LEFT wing of every nation on earth. No left wing is facing east on land and thus not even facing the future, let alone the only God who has and still is in the eternal future.
