Describe ways of exhibiting professional and helpful behaviour whilst supporting a business event.
First of all every event must be carefully planned before it occurs which includes planning the event objectives and expectations and knowing who will be responsible for what tasks. [ The people planning the event should know exactly what needs to be achieved and this will make working out what needs to be done easier. The date of the event needs to be chosen, the participants identified and
then a suitable venue organised.
The tasks which usually follow include arranging refreshments, getting the appropriate equipment organised, booking travel and accommodation for participants if required, promoting the event, preparing any documentation needed and making sure there is appropriate insurance cover.
On the day of the event, staff should know exactly what they are doing and what they are responsible for so that everything runs as smoothly as possible. Some of the things that may need to be done are meeting and greeting, serving refreshments, taking notes and getting feedback.
After the event has ended certain tasks are required to be performed to bring the event to a close. These tasks include writing up the minutes/notes and circulating them, analysing feedback, following up on any requests and following up on leads. ]
