Question and answer
what role do neurotransmitters play in psychological functioning?
Information is carried by biochemical substances called neurotransmitters, which we will talk about in more detail shortly. [ The terminal buttons and the dendrites of other neurons do not touch, but instead pass the information containing neurotransmitters through a Synapse. Once the neurotransmitter leaves the axon, and passes through the synapse, it is caught on the dendrite by what are
termed Receptor Sites. ]

Example of self-actualization needs
Weegy: Self-Actualization : Located at the peak of Abraham Maslow's hierarchy, he described this high-level need in the following way: "What a man can be, he must be. [ This need we may call self-actualization?It refers to the desire for self-fulfillment, namely, to the tendency for him to become actualized in what he is potentially. This tendency might be phrased as the desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming." While the theory is generally portrayed as a fairly rigid hierarchy, Maslow noted that the order in which these needs are fulfilled does not always follow this standard progression. For example, he notes that for some individuals, the need for self-esteem is more important than the need for love. For others, the need for creative fulfillment may supersede even the most basic needs. ............ ] User: Give me an example on self-esteem needs (respect) Weegy: please wait...one sec User: can you give me a paragraph on self-esteem respect needs Weegy: Give me and example on self esteem needs....? If you mean Belongingness, it is the human emotional need to be an accepted member of a group. Whether it is family, friends, co-workers, or a sports team, humans have an inherent desire to belong and be an important part of something greater than themselves. The motive to belong is the need for "strong, stable relationships with other people." This implies a relationship that is greater than simple acquaintance or familiarity. The need to belong is the need to give and receive affection from others.
