Patient with a history of recurrent spontaneous left pneumothorax was prepped for a thoracoscopy and underwent parietal pleurectomy. An incision was made at the eighth intercostal space, and thorascope was inserted to view patient's lungs. No evidence of disease was found in lobes. The Eustachian tube is a channel linking the nasopharynx to the middle ear. The human Eustachian tube has two main functions. First, it can open to let a small amount of air through to prevent damage by equalizing pressure between the middle ear and the atmosphere. Second, it drains mucus from the middle ear.
