Question and answer
Q: Why is it important to work in partnership with parents/carers in childminding
A: Childminding is a rewarding experience if it is working well for both the family and the childminder and one feels valued and appreciated. For years domestic workers were not respected and they still are in other parts of the world. They are [ sometimes seen as dull and people with no qualifications to do any other work but scrub floors and bathrooms and cook and clean after everyone.Recently
with the introduction of different courses in childcare childminding has begun being seen as a career.Nowadays people get trained to look after children so they can do it in a way that will help stimulate the development of the child, socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally. Childminding is a challenge, needs determination just like any other job and it can be fun as well.I have put a few things that can be achieved if partnership works between parents and the childminder. ]
