The straight line distance between 2 pts on the circle : c
The curved distance between the same two pts : s
You can compute s from r and c using:
s = r 2 arcsin (c / 2r )
You can compute c from r [ and s using:
c = 2 r sin(s / 2 r)
Note: in this case the trig functions are operating on angles measured in radians.
