Question and answer
explain the rights that children, young people and their carers have in situations where harm or abuse is suspected or alleged
An explanation of the rights those children, [ young people and their carers have in situations where harm or abuse is suspected or alleged. Child/young person’s rights. A child has the right to be protected against significant harm (children’s act 1989, every child matters 2004, United Nations Convention on the rights of the child etc). A child/young person has the right not to be subjected to
repeated medical examinations or questions following suspected abuse. Children should contribute their own account of their own views, they should be listened to and within certain circumstances these should be applied, but when a child is in significant harm then you would look at the child’s best interest to make them safe. They should be fully informed of everything that is happening to them, they should be consulted sensitively. Parents/carers. The parents/carers have the right to be informed of suspected abuse and have the rights to know what is being said about them and to contribute their own views. If a child is in significant harm, parents/carers have no rights when it comes to confidentiality within information sharing to the right agencies (social services). ]

explain different types of bulling and the potential effects on children and young people
Weegy: Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior manifested by the use of force or coercion to affect others, particularly when the behavior is habitual and involves an imbalance of power. [ It can include verbal harassment, physical assault or coercion and may be directed repeatedly towards particular victims, perhaps on grounds of race, religion, gender, sexuality, or ability. The effects of bullying can be serious and even fatal. It is still a greatly unresearched area. The link between bullying and school violence has attracted increasing attention since the 1999 Columbine High School massacre. From that event, it is evident that the effects of bullying on the targets can cause them severe psychological trauma that can lead to violent outbursts, suicide, etc. ] (More)
