address the problem of bullying? Why has it become such a problem?
Talk to the bully in private. It will take a lot of courage, but do not leave it too late till he has reduced you to a gibbering wreck and you cannot get two words past your lips. [ [ Once you realize you are a target of unnecessary vitriol, ask for a few minutes to talk to him privately. Tell him that you are feeling mistreated and abused and ask him how this can be avoided in the future. I
remember once how I tried to face up to a bully boss and tried being very rational. There is absolutely no point?their agendas which they usually don?t admit to themselves is an emotional one. Expecting them to understand and analyze the problem and accept where the fault lies, very rarely works.Talking to the bully is for YOU?that you made an attempt at conflict resolution. Who knows if you are lucky enough, maybe the boss will take it down a notch or two after realizing that you are not fair game?you actually have a bite. Senate bill 137 is something to research if you are interested in the government actions taken in 2011. However some schools and communities are adopting ways to prevent suicide and other horrible tragedies that occur as a result of bullying. The more events that occur violently in our world that the media glamorize and also the internet, games, music, and movies inspire this "toughness" in children's minds. Now we have other media which has multitudes of other bullies watching videos of bullies getting ideas.

How has the Patriot Act changed security in the United States since 9/11?
Weegy: The USA PATRIOT Act is an Act of the U.S. Congress that was signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 26, 2001. It was in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11th. [ The act greatly reduced restrictions that were placed on law enforcement agencies and gave them the ability to search telephone, e-mail communications, medical, financial, and other records. It eased restrictions on foreign intelligence gathering within the United States and expanded the Secretary of the Treasury’s authority to regulate financial transactions. The Patriot Act expanded the definition of terrorism to include domestic terrorism, thus enlarging the number of activities to which the powers can be applied. Since its passage, several legal challenges have been brought against the act, and Federal courts have ruled that a number of provisions are unconstitutional. Opponents have criticized the sections that authorize the indefinite detentions of immigrants, searches through which law enforcement officers search a home or business without the owner’s or the occupant’s permission or knowledge, and the expanded use of National Security Letters, which allows the FBI to search telephone, e-mail, and financial records without a court order. The Patriot Act gave law enforcement agencies unprecedented access to business records, including library and financial records. Not all aspects of the Act have been challenged and many Americans have approved the passage. People have promoted the provisions made to the Bank Secrecy Act, which requires financial institutions in the United States to assist U.S. government agencies to detect and prevent money laundering. Title II of the Patriot Act established three very controversial provisions, “sneak and peek” warrants, roving wiretaps and the ability of the FBI to gain access to documents that reveal the patterns of U.S. citizens. The so-called “sneak and peek” law allowed for delayed notification of the execution of ... (More)
