Question and answer
Q: factor check by multiplying 4x^5y^3+28x^3y^2+12xy
A: 4x^5y^3 + 28x^3y^2 + 12xy = 4xy(x^4y^2 + 7x^2y + 3) To check: (4xy)(x^4y^2) = 4x^5y^3 (4xy)(7x^2y) = 28x^3y^2 (4xy)(3) = 12xy

4x^5y^3 + 28x^3y^2 + 12xy = 4xy(x^4y^2 + 7x^2y + 3)

To check:
(4xy)(x^4y^2) = 4x^5y^3

(4xy)(7x^2y) = 28x^3y^2

(4xy)(3) = 12xy
