Question and answer
what are the advantages of consumption of Gatorade sports drink?
Photo Credit Stockbyte/Stockbyte/Getty Images Gatorade is a brand name commonly associated with athletes and sports of all kinds. [ However, other sports drinks have entered the market over the years, giving Gatorade some healthy competition, and choosing what sports drink to consume has become confusing. Although Gatorade can help you to effectively hydrate and replenish your energy, there is
little evidence to suggest that it is more effective than a sports drink with similar ingredients. However, subjective elements, such as taste, might be considered an advantage. Read more: ]

Of the 20 amino acids relevant to the human body, how many are considered essential
Weegy: Of the 22 standard amino acids, 9 are called essential amino acids because the human body cannot synthesize them from other compounds at the level needed for normal growth, so they must be obtained from food. [ In addition, cysteine, taurine, tyrosine, and arginine are semiessential amino-acids in children, because the metabolic pathways that synthesize these amino acids are not fully developed. ] (More)

What exactly is the skeleton system and how does it function?
Weegy: The skeletal system is made up of both fused and individual bones; these bones are further supported by ligaments, tendons, muscles and cartilage. [ The skeletal system is essentially a scaffold which supports the body's organs, anchors the muscles, and offers additional protection to internal organs like the brain and the heart. An adult's skeleton makes up about 30-40% of a person's body weight; around half of this total weight is water. The body's fused bones include the bones of the cranium and the pelvis: these bones are separated at birth, so that newborns have more than 300 bones; as a person ages they grow together and fuse into a single large mass, leaving adults with only about 206 bones. Most of the individual and fused bones are directly connected to one another, but not all of them: three bones in each middle ear (the ossicles) are only connected to each other (not to any other bones in skeletal system) and the hyoid bone, the point of attachment for the tongue, is not connected to any other bones in the body. Instead, it is completely supported by the muscles and ligaments of the neck. There are two parts to the skeletal system: the axial skeleton and the appendicular skeleton. The axial skeleton has 80 bones, and is made up of the bones of the head, the ribs, and the vertebral column. The appendicular skeleton has 126 bones and includes the bones of the upper and lower limbs and the pelvic and pectoral girdles. The appendicular skeleton's function is to make locomotion possible and to protect the body's major internal organs (aside from those protected by the axial skeleton). The skeleton has several functions apart from support and protection: the joints permit movement, the bone marrow produces red and white blood cells, bone cells release osteocalcin, a hormone which helps regulate blood sugar and fat deposition, and the skeletal cell matrix stores calcium (and is involved in metabolizing calcium), and bone marrow stores some iron (as ... What are dietary supplements?
Weegy: In the United States, dietary supplements are substances you eat or drink. They can be vitamins, minerals, herbs or other plants, amino acids (the individual building blocks of protein), or parts of these substances. [ They can be in pill, capsule, tablet, or liquid form. They supplement (add to) the diet and should not be considered a substitute for food. Dietary supplements are widely available in the United States in health food stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, on the Internet, and by mail. People commonly take them for health-related reasons. Common dietary supplements include vitamins and minerals (such as vitamin C or a multivitamin), botanicals (herbs and plant products, such as St. John's wort), and substances that come from a natural source (such as omega-3 fatty acids). What is the difference of over the counter dietary supplements and perscription supplements
Weegy: Over the counter supplements are not at strong or effective as the ones that require a prescription. Think of it like a pain killer. Tylenol works, but Vicodin is far more effective, but it's stronger so it requires a prescription. (More)

One difference between prescription and over-the-counter medicines is access. Only qualified and licensed medical professionals can order prescription medicines for their patients, and only qualified pharmacists can fill those orders.

what are the advantages of consumption of Gatorade sports drink?
Weegy: a sports drink must be formulated to maximize gastric emptying and to speed the absorption of solutes (carbohydrates, electrolytes) and fluids into the bloodstream. [ Beverages that are carbonated or have high levels of carbohydrates generally empty slowly from the stomach and should be avoided during athletic activities because such drinks may cause bloating or a feeling of fullness, upset stomach, burping, and nausea. ] (More)
