BoonesFarm Watermelon is really good wine.

I'd recommend you to try either 7 Deadly Zins, or Menage a Trois which is a red wine blend. Both have good flavor without being too oaky or smoky which most people who are unaccustomed to that flavor dislike very much. Both of these wines also periodically go on sale for around $7 or $8. Pinot Noir is good if you can find a good one, which is hard and expensive, and bad ones just taste like alcohol to me. Cabernets tend to be smoky, peppery and oak-y which might be too overwhelming for you to start out with. White Zin is very sweet, but I don't think it has quite the same antioxidant advantages as a red wine, and if you are leaning towards it because its sweeter, then I'd recommend a Reisling or Gewurztraminer instead. Pinot Grigio is my favorite type of white wine. Its not too sweet and not too dry
