Water has a high heat capacity. What does this term mean? (Points : 2) Water is resistant to changes in temperature. Water heats up or cools down very quickly. Water provides a
useful source of stored kilocalories. Water transports the energy-yielding nutrients throughout the bod
Heat Capacity. Heat capacity is the amount of heat required to raise a system by 1 degree C in temperature. [ Water has a heat capacity about 4 times that of air; this means that a given amount of water needs about 4 times as much heat to raise its temperature as that needed to raise the temperature of an equivalent amount of air. In other words, it’s much harder to change the temperature of a
given amount of water than it is to change the temperature of the same amount of air. For this reason, weather in coastal areas is often more moderate than weather at the same latitudes in inland areas: The higher humidity of the air near the oceans makes that air more resistant to temperature changes than the drier air farther inland. The high heat capacity of water means that the oceans are capable of storing and transporting a large percentage of the earth’s heat. ]

What are the three types of diabetes and can they be treated using nutrition?
Weegy: Type 1 diabetes is an auto-immune disease where the body's immune system attacks the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas. People with type 1 diabetes cannot produce insulin and require lifelong insulin injections for survival. [ The disease can occur at any age, although it mostly occurs in children and young adults. Type 1 diabetes is sometimes referred to as 'juvenile onset diabetes' or 'insulin dependent diabetes'. Type 2 diabetes is associated with hereditary factors and lifestyle risk factors including poor diet, insufficient physical activity and being overweight or obese. People with type 2 diabetes may be able to manage their condition through lifestyle changes; however, diabetes medications or insulin injections may also be required to control blood sugar levels. Type 2 diabetes occurs mostly in people aged over 40 years old; however, the disease is also becoming increasingly prevalent in younger age groups. Gestational diabetes occurs during pregnancy. The condition may be managed through adopting healthy dietary and exercise habits, although diabetes medication, including insulin, may also be required to manage blood sugar levels. ] (More)
