Abuse can take many forms, including sexual, mental, and physical, and it can happen in many places, eg, in the home, in hospital, and in the workplace. [ If someone alleges they are being abused, some of the actions you should take include : •Stay calm and listen to them, •Take what you are being told seriously, •Be aware that medical evidence might be needed, •Offer them support to help them
to stop the abuse happening, •make a written note of what you have been told and •contact social services or the police Depends on the age of the individual, if it is an adult call the local police if a minor call CPS If someone tells you they are a victim of abuse, take what they seriously, stay calm, and listen to them, if possible make a written or recorded account , which should be dated and signed, you should also make them aware that medical evidence might be required, offer them help and support to stop the abuse from continuing, and then contact either the police or social services. Thank U! ]

take every alleged abuse seriously and report it to the authorities if they are under 18. If they are over 18, then provide support and give them outlets where they can get help when they feel ready, but do not wait until the abuse resumes- support often takes the form of getting the person OUT of the situation before any further emotional support steps can take place

First and foremost if you are working in a care services you have to read and understand your policies and Procedures, then report it to your manager or senior care staff, then if it it possible show that you are really concern to the well being of that individual and make them feel that whatever happen you are there to lift them up and they can depend on you. always calm down and open your mind to every possible actions that may arise during the conversation, show your concern a genuine concern that you are really listen to them through out the process.. Providing a place which can secure them would also help to keep saying about the issue because as a victim they would also want to preserved their honour and dignity.

@debnjerry - i don't no what is mean by cite your source? please say me clearly friend by that i can answer well
Added 8/4/2012 12:07:13 PM
If you are copying somebody else's words you need to provide a link to show where the information came from. Even if it is in your own words, in most cases you should provide a link to back up your answer.

@debnjerry - friend at first i answered with matter and link but some people are keeping flag for right answers also then i'm in confusion how to answer so that's why I'm sending information in matter and i'm in confusion also with flag

Nobody is flagging correct answers. If you believe you have a question flagged unfairly, post the link and I will look at it. Just review the rules and provide correct answers and be sure to cite your sources, especially when copying text.

@debnjerry - ok friend i bring to your notice and send you link when somebody flag and guide me and make me a expert like you thank you so much

If the answer is wrong or breaks the rules, you will get flagged and I will not be able to unflag it. Please only bring it to my attention if the answer is correct.

@debnjerry - ok friend sure i will bring to your notice thank u !

venkatsmilys, you can get flagged if you post a duplicate answer or provide an incorrect answer as mentioned by debnjerry. An example of duplicate answer is when you add a answer to a already answered question or posting a same exact answer similar to another experts answer for a particular question.

Hi debnjerry :), I have few questions. please help :). does every question we receive here in weegy was provided by different users even if its the same question ( sometimes we receive multiple exact same question)? What to do with multiple same questions with a wrong auto answer? what if the wrong auto answer was provided by one expert should we flag it one by one or 1 flag is enough for every expert with same wrong answer. What if an expert provided a wrong answer in a multiple duplicate questions? should we flag it one by one? I hope i was able to deliver my questions clearly. THank you so much debnjerry. :)
Added 8/5/2012 8:43:44 PM
tinkermei, when the same question is asked a few times really close together I assume it is the same user trying to get the correct answer. I just add the correct answer to one.
We should flag any and all wrong answers we see, including auto answers. The only time I don't flag is if an expert provides a correct answer but other questions in the same conversation either answered by a different expert or auto answer are wrong. It's not fair to the expert who answered correctly.
Added 8/5/2012 8:56:13 PM
Thank you debnjerry. If the user send multiple questions or lets say we encounter 10 questions with wrong auto answer by one expert then it would be flagged 10x? thank you debnjerry.
Added 8/5/2012 9:45:05 PM
Yes, theoretically it would. It is hard to flag every single wrong answer but that is what we should be doing. A flagged auto-answer does not affect the account of the original expert.

venkatsmilys, everybody makes mistakes, but like with any job, if you make too many mistakes you will no longer be able to do the job. Wrong answers have to be flagged and if you get too many flags your account will be suspended. Just be careful and if you are not sure of an answer, pass it to another expert.
Added 8/5/2012 10:32:15 PM

Added 8/5/2012 10:40:05 PM
Just read over the rules under the resources tab. I can answer questions you have, but I can't ignore wrong answers. All wrong answers or answers that break the rules get flagged.
Added 8/5/2012 10:48:44 PM
@debnjerry oh thank you. it means that the only time that the account will be affected by flag is when it is shown as Expert Answered? Flagged auto answer the highlighted flag button will indicate that the answer is incorrect. Please bear with me if I ask too much and getting too much into details bec yesterday I just reached L1 :) I realized that I was permitted to flag wrong answers. I just wanna be careful in doing my job and make sure I am doing the right thing. Thank you so much.

If you are suspended you are not supposed to come back. You would have to contact the Weegy Team to discuss it. That is not something the moderators have anything to do with.

indenify ways to ensure that evidence of abuse is preserved
Weegy: Collection of Evidence It is important that the investigator understand what evidence is and its purpose, at what stages of the investigative process it is obtained, and how and by whom it is obtained. [ Staff must collect evidence in order to conduct a thorough investigation and reach an investigative conclusion. Evidence is defined as, something that makes another thing evident or tends to prove a fact at issue to be true and/or grounds for belief that a fact at issue is true. Evidence of child abuse / neglect presents itself in a variety of forms; verbal evidence, such as witness statements, and physical evidence, such as clothing, instruments, weapons, etc. The Children’s Division (CD) investigator does not have the authority within policy, to collect physical evidence. However, the worker is authorized / expected to collect the following types of evidence using the methods prescribed: • The most common type of evidence available to the investigator is statements made by the victim, witness(es), alleged perpetrator, and collateral(s). Statements may be collected and documented by one or more of the following methods: o A personal face-to-face interview which is recorded in a factual summarization on the CPS-1; o An audio taped recording of the interview. The tape should be preserved and may be either transcribed or summarized on the CPS-1 and filed in the case record; o An audio-visual taped recording of the interview. The tape should be preserved and may be either transcribed and placed in the investigation section of the case record or factually summarized on the CPS-1; o A written signed statement as provided by the witness. Such statements should be filed in the investigation section of the case record. ] (More)
