What is the slope and y-intercept of this equation? 4y - 2x + 5 = 6x + 1
Question
Updated 3/17/2016 8:15:59 AM
4y - 2x + 5 = 6x + 1
4y = 6x + 2x + 1 - 5
4y = 8x - 4
(4y = 8x - 4)/(4)
y = 2x - 1
In the form y = mx + b, m stands for slope; therefore, the slope is 2.
