User: In what ways are carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and fibers alike in relation to health, morbidity, and mortality? In what ways are they different?

Weegy: Carbohydrates, lipids and fats can be used for energy by the body. All contain C,H,O,. Only proteins contain nitrogen The body will not use protein for energy if there is something else. [ If it does then there is the nitrogen to get rid of which an effect the kidneys. Fat has 2 times the amount of energy as carbohydrates. Fat can be saturated or unsaturated. The saturated fat is bad for the arteries. sugars can effect a person with diabetes. Fiber is not digested by the body but pushes the wastes on through. Animals such as ruminants can digest fiber, some have particular bacteria in the intestines that digest the fiber. Fiber keeps us regular and keeps the stuff from laying around in the intestine, some cancers can be caused by the lying around. ]
