Why are there questions at the beginning of this essay? to get the readers' attention and make them interested in reading further to give the readers something to research before they read on to avoid giving the impression that the author knows everything to provide questions to be answered in the rest of the essay

French is not one of the three official languages of New Zealand.
In April 2006, New Zealand became the first country to declare sign language an official language, alongside Maori and English.

New Zealand Sign Language or NZSL is the main language of the deaf community in New Zealand.
