what suggestions would you offer a new employee to help them effectively communicate in your workplace when meeting face-to-face, sending an e-mail, and during a meeting?
I would suggest letting them know that they need to make eye contact with face to face communication. They need to think about answers before they state something and to make sure that there answers are correct. [ Proper grammar is always important as well. ]

Weegy: Because if employees use too much of their time using e-mail for non-work related topics, they will lose significant productivity which in turn translates to huge financial and productive losses for employers.In general, [ face-to-face communication and telephone conversations are most appropriate for persuasive communication. Letters, memos, and e-mail are best suited to convey the detailed, factual information that requires time and effort to digest and act upon. In practice, written methods are more commonly used at the beginning of an "influence attempt." At this stage in the game, managers and employees are collecting the information they need to decide how to respond to some new development, such as a change in the competitive environment, for example, or a new product being proposed The sender and receiver share this information and use it to persuade the other about the best course of action to pursue. In the hours or days before a final decision is made, however, the sender and receiver resort to a more face-to-face persuasive approach. They begin to exchange fewer e-mails, and they increasingly pick up the telephone. Depending on the complexity of the issue they are dealing with, or the level of disagreement between them, face-to-face meetings now become the preferred method of communication because it allows for the processing of the most information, both logical and emotional, to make the optimum decision. ] (More)
