How can you be more helpful to friends or family who may be battling cancer?
Weegy: Emotional Support So what can you do to help yourBe there. OK, so this is obvious, but it's also critically important. [ Teens with cancer often feel isolated and alone, especially if they're in the hospital or away from school for long stretches of time. Visit as often as you can. Fight the urge to stay away because you feel awkward or wish this weren't happening. Even if you aren't sure what to say to your friend, just being there to show your support will mean so much. If distance or your schedule makes it hard to be there in person, stay in touch by sending notes and cards and by emailing, IMing, phoning, or texting. You can also offer to drive other friends to the hospital or set up an email list or an online social network group so your friend can stay connected. Talk about it — and listen. Friends going through tough times like to talk about it. Listen, ask questions, and do some basic research on your own so you can understand more about the type of cancer and what your friend might be feeling. Don't be afraid to ask questions of your friend's family, the doctors, and other cancer patients. Be patient. People with cancer, understandably, are often sad, anxious, and afraid. On top of that, some treatments have side effects like fatigue or mood swings. If you show up to visit and your friend seems distant, angry, or less than enthused, try not to take it personally. Don't give up; your friend is going through a lot. Come back again tomorrow and chances are things will be better. Keep it real — but keep it positive. It can help to talk about the future and to make plans in a realistic, compassionate way. Don't shrug off your friend's fears or concerns about death, but do try to offer realistic specific examples of other people — famous people, people you know — who have survived this type of cancer. (No examples come to mind? Do a Web search!) Practical Support "If there's anything I can do..." is a nice thing to say. ] (More)

Are there any instances in your personal and professional life when you use an outline?
Weegy: Outlines are a useful tool to organize information. An outline allows the draftee to understand what is needed to complete the job or assignment. A to-do list is an example of a primitive outline. User: is there more information you can provide on this topic? Weegy: I can provide you with more information. Can you tell me what you need to know? For example, are you looking for a specific example in using outlines or are you looking for information about outlines in general? User: Yes I am looking for specific examples in using outlines and will you elabarate on it Weegy: An outline is most commonly used in writing. An outline helps to organized information that leads to succinct and complete topic coverage in writing. Authors, speech writers, and newspaper writers are people who regularly use outlines. User: is there more information you can provide on this topic? Weegy: Outlines use plan stability to preserve performance characteristics. Outlines can be used repeatedly to ensure identical results. Templates are a form of outlines available for use. User: that is very good but not enough information will you please provide more? Weegy: While you are researching a topic, you can make a tentative outline--a plan for your paper based on what you are learning from your research. Outlines usually grow out of working plans for papers. [ For shorter, less complex papers, a few informal notes jotted down may be enough. But longer papers are too big to organize mentally; you generally need a more systematic plan to organize the various parts of the paper. Preparing an outline will help you think over your notes, consider them from several perspectives, and devise/revise an organizational plan appropriate to your topic, audience, and assignment. An outline that accompanies the final draft of a paper can also function as a table of contents for the reader. ] User: How is this useful? Weegy: Are you asking how outlines are useful?
